NEA Sidesaddle Association

NEA Sidesaddle Association celebrates its 30th year of News, Education and Activities in 2009! Now the oldest American Sidesaddle association, we are a non-profit educational group with members around the country and abroad. NEA has been the “leader in information since 1979” and this site is our way of sharing the very best information with the sidesaddle community.

Our association authored the original guidelines for sidesaddle instruction, showing, equipment and safety. We advocate for acceptance in breed, discipline and youth organizations, as well as support sidesaddle interests within USEF, our national equestrian governing body. NEA members can be found in parades, reenactments, foxhunting, on the trail, and in the dressage ring as well as the show ring. Our “Member News” pages feature their accomplishments aside.

Membership is open and includes participation in the year-end Awards Program with no extra cost to riders or owners, as well as reduced costs at clinics. Members may place free ads in the quarterly NEA magazine, which includes member news, industry news, and documented research articles on saddles and equipment that will be found nowhere else. We provide information about saddles, habits, patterns, instructors and media resources and maintain archives of historical information. We invite you to join us in support of this elegant art!
