The "Rule of Thumb" for sidesaddle attire is that contemporary attire appropriate to the particular class be worn with the addition of an apron in matching or harmonizing color.

Aprons should be of heavy fabric, interfaced or weighted so as to lie smooth and hang with level hem.

Hair should be neatly styled, away from the face and not touching the collar. A hairpiece may be added for short hair.
